The Everly Brothers foi uma dupla de rock and roll influenciada pelo country estadunidense, conhecida por tocar violão de corda de aço e cantar com harmonias vocais. Isaac Donald "Don" Everly (1 de fevereiro de 1937 - 21 de agosto de 2021) e Phillip "Phil" Everly (19 de janeiro de 1939 - 3 de janeiro de 2014) foram indicados ao Hall da Fama do Rock and Roll em 1986 e ao Country Music Hall of Fame em 2001. == História == === Família e educação === Don nasceu em Brownie, no Condado de Muhlenberg, Kentucky, em 1 de fevereiro de 1937 e Phil em Chicago, Illinois, em 19 de janeiro de 1939. Seus pais eram Isaac Milford "Ike" Everly, Jr. (1908-1975), um guitarrista, e Margaret Embry Everly (1919-2021) O ator James Best (nascido Jules Guy), também do Condado de Muhlenberg, era filho da irmã de Ike. Margaret tinha 15 anos quando se casou com Ike, que tinha 26 anos. Ike trabalhou em minas de carvão a partir dos 14 anos, mas seu pai o encorajou a seguir seu amor pela música, e Ike e Margaret começaram a cantar juntos. Os irmãos Everly passaram a maior parte de sua infância em Shenandoah, Iowa. Eles frequentaram a Longfellow Elementary School em Waterloo, Iowa, por um ano, mas depois mudaram-se para Shenandoah em 1944, onde permaneceram durante o ensino médio. Ike Everly teve um programa nas rádios KMA e KFNF em Shenandoah em meados dos anos 1940, primeiro com sua esposa e depois com seus filhos.
