Philip David Charles Collins, LVO (Londres, 30 de janeiro de 1951), mais conhecido como Phil Collins, é um baterista, cantor, compositor, multi-instrumentista, produtor musical e ator britânico. Foi baterista e vocalista da banda Genesis, mas também atingiu grande êxito em carreira solo. Também atuou em alguns filmes e programas de televisão. Phil Collins já colaborou com vários artistas conhecidos, como Philip Bailey, Bone Thugs'N'Harmony, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Roland Orzabal, Roger Taylor, Robert Plant, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Elton John, Mike Oldfield, Sting, Anni-Frid Lyngstad do ABBA, Mark Knopfler, Laura Pausini, Peter Gabriel e Bee Gees. Fez uma participação especial em "Woman in Chains", do Tears for Fears, participou do álbum Break Every Rule de Tina Turner, tocando bateria em músicas como Typical Male e Girls, e também colaborou com a banda Led Zeppelin no Live Aid, tocando bateria. Também participou da música Home, do grupo de rap Bone Thugs'N'Harmony. == Infância == Phil Collins nasceu e foi criado em Chiswick / Hounslow, Londres, filho de Winifred M. "June" (nascida Strange), uma agente teatral, e Greville Philip Austin Collins, um agente de seguros. Ele ganhou um kit de bateria de brinquedo no Natal, quando ele tinha cinco anos. Mais tarde, seu tio fez uma bateria improvisada que ele tocava regularmente. Collins cresceu rodeado por instrumentos mais completos comprados por seus pais.
